Used for general positioning.
Soft, polyurethane foam provides excellent support and comfort for patient positioning. Available with state-of-the-art ScanCoat sprayed vinyl coating. This item is available in the following foam and coverings:
- Standard Foam - Charcoal colored, open cell foam, radiolucent, fire retardant, economic, useful for general positioning.
- Ultra Foam (UF) - Firm, charcoal colored, closed cell foam, resists fluid absorption/contamination, fire retardant, certain items may require gluing which could attenuate, please see note below.
- Heavy Duty Vinyl Cover - 20 mil blue vinyl cover, heat sealed seams to prevent fluid absorption/contamination, seams may artifact, please see note below.
- Scan Coat Black (SCB) - State of the art sprayed vinyl coating, withstands tearing or peeling, skid resistant, resists fluid absorption/contamination, very low attenuation, this item may artifact, please see note below.
*Please note: Covered items (-8, -20 or -SCB) are not recommended for low KVP techniques as the edges/seams may show. Items composed of Ultrafoam (-UF) that have a height higher than 3 inches will have a glue seam that may attenuate.
