This extra large field size (130cmX46cm or 51"X18") is suitable for full spine exams, long leg ailment review and an EOS imaging system for full body low dose scans.  Good for standing or upright radiography, especially in pediatric or orthopedic imaging.  Focal depth is around 70".  The 100 LPI provides medium grid frequency and balances scatter reduction with image sharpness.  Overall, X-ray grids provide clearer radiographic images by trapping scattered radiation, the biggest contributing factor to poor diagnostic quality. Introducing an x-ray grid between the x-ray beam and the film or plate will provide a clearer and more detailed image.
